UNITED STATES: No direct flights, but you can fly Aer Lingus from New York to Dublin where passengers can take a connecting flight to Liverpool, without having to check in again.

ON ARRIVAL: From right outside the airport terminal, you can catch the AirportXpress500 bus to the city centre. The journey takes around 20 minutes. AirportXpress500 is scheduled to leave the airport every 30 minutes at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour, from 5.15am until 00.15am. Adult ticket, £2 or 4 Euros; child, £1 or 2 Euros; family, £5 or 10 Euros.
Also outside the terminal is a TAXI rank. The fare to the city centre is around £15.

There are direct coach and rail services from Manchester airport to Liverpool city centre.

National Express runs coaches from Manchester Airport direct to Liverpool city centre. The journey takes around 50 minutes. Phone 08705 808080. The rail company First North Western operates a direct train service from Manchester Airport to Liverpool city centre. This takes around 90 minutes due to the number of stops en route.
